Overview

Discover all the most important sights in Budapest with your tour guide during a 3 hour city tour. Let us show you the main attractions on both sides of the River Danube. Walk around the Castle District and see the top attractions of Pest.

 

Tour description

We start the tour from the office of Cityrama (address is Báthory utca 19, 1054 Budapest), pass by the Parliament and take the Margaret Bridge to drive over to the Buda side. We stop in the Castle District and during a short walk we show you the main attractions of the area. We walk to the Matthias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion (from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama).
Next, we take you over the Elisabeth Bridge to Pest and show you the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue of Europe, afterwards we drive to the City Park. We pass by the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the Budapest Zoo, then stop at the Heroes' Square (with statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes).
We take the Andrássy Avenue back to downtown Pest, while passing by the Opera House and St Stephen's Basilica. During the tour we offer a brief overview of the last 1000 years of Hungarian history.
The tour ends in the city centre.

We selected the Cityrama city tour from 10 AM to 2PM. We were 4 and just 1 couple joined us.
We had a great guide who not only gave us the necessary info, but he gave us also info that only a local can now. the guide took also the time to give any extra info one needed. The tour was well organized, enough time to walk around aswell. We saw all the highlights from buda and Pest, and we had also time to enjoy a good beer in a beautifull park.
I would recomend this tour since it is not only very informative, and in fact necessary to “see ” more, but seen the small numbers of participants, also very ” cosy” in fact.
To be noted that the organizers were very helpful before the bustour to help us out with a personal problem.
